Can Tom Brady Do It Again?

Time and time again, Tom Brady has proven that he’s going to find a way to overcome whatever obstacles are in his way.

And he will have his chance again in Super Bowl LII on February 4, 2018, in Minneapolis, MN.

As has he has done time and time again in the postseason, Brady rallied for a pair of fourth-quarter touchdowns and the Patriots held on for a heart-stopping 24-20 victory over the upset-minded Jacksonville Jaguars to capture their 10th AFC Championship.

Here are some random thoughts from the Patriots latest improbable postseason victory ... and how it relates to the retail automotive business.

The Warrior Mode

“The competitive drive, the sense of urgency that he has — for him to be able to get into this mode, this warrior mode, and go out there and have the game that he had after everything that happened this week, it shows how he can block out the noise and focus on what he has to do,” backup quarterback Brian Hoyer said after the 24-20 victory over the Jacksonville Jaguars.

The Leader Sets the Pace

There were times when the Patriots' offense was out of synch and when Gronkowski left the game things looked bleak. But that’s when Brady turned it up a notch. His enthusiasm and energy seemed to inspire the team toward the goal line and ultimately to a successful conclusion.

As a manager, you are the leader of your team. They need to see you as someone who gets inspired and enthusiastic about success. How you present yourself each and every day can make a huge difference in the success of your team. So consider how you look to those around you. Are you open and encouraging? Does your body language promote positive actions and attitudes?

A Second Half Comeback

The Patriots were on the ropes for the majority of the afternoon and trailed by 10 in the fourth quarter. Brady clearly wasn't at his best .. but he came back.

In CPI's retail training, we break the service process down into two halves like a football game. We also get participants involved in a vehicle walk around competition that we call “Super Bowl” presentations, and one of the key elements in a successful presentation is body language.
