Get to know David Foy

If you’re in fixed ops – or any other part of automotive retail – you’ll want to get to know David Foy. Years of experience fueled by enthusiasm have made him a well-known expert in the field.

How the Fixed Ops Mastermind got started

Like many of us, as a teenager, David wasn’t sure what he wanted to do. But since his father was a dean at the local college, higher education seemed to be the right choice. While still in high school, David started taking college-level computer technology courses, focusing on repair and programming.

WHO NEEDS TRAINING AT YOUR DEALERSHIP?

The savvy teenager would have probably selected a job in the tech industry had it not been for a new program, called Ford ASSET (Automotive Student Service Excellence Training), that debuted at his college. David still remembers watching the slideshow for the program, which depicted automotive technicians in lab coats diagnosing computer issues.

Although David had no car repair experience at the time, after watching Ford’s presentation, he was hooked on the automotive industry.

Present-day workflow

Now, David is a top-performing service Director at Berterra Nissan. A typical day for the Fixed Ops Mastermind begins with a check of KPI (key performance indicator) scores and metrics, along with touching base with management, advisors, and technicians. Every day, David engages in personal conversations – not just business talk – with his team, because, well, they’re family.

When he’s not interacting with employees or customers, David performs warranty checks, reviews marketing campaigns, crunches numbers and finds innovative ways to improve productivity and customer satisfaction.

A lifetime of accomplishments

David has accrued a long list of accomplishments during his career. Most recently though, through hard work, creativity, and ingenuity, his team earned a first-place KPI score for their store. What’s even more impressive is that, in just 11 months, David was able to move the store from last place (where it had been for three years) to number one.

Looking forward

David has high expectations for both his service team and his business. His website, TrustMyWork.com, promises to be the premier destination for individuals looking to brand their career. Through the portal, customers can review a professional’s work – and so, so much more.

WHY YOU SHOULD ATTEND THE FIXED OPS ROUNDTABLE

Developing the Fixed Ops Mastermind group is on the radar, too – and in a big way. David plans to transform service and parts by bringing beginners and industry experts together into one, formative team. The program has already received a great deal of traction and fanfare from automotive professionals throughout the country.
