Privacy Policy
Plain answers about what this website collects, why, who helps us run it, and what you can ask us to do with your information.
Effective and last updated November 3, 2026.
1.The short version
- We collect what you send us through the website, like your name, work email and phone number, so we can answer your request.
- We never sell your information, and we do not share it for advertising.
- Google Analytics runs only if you accept analytics cookies, and you can change your mind any time with Your Privacy Choices.
- We text you only about your request, and only if you check the optional box. Reply STOP any time.
- You can ask to see, correct or delete your information. See section 11.
2.Who we are
Center for Performance Improvement LLC (“CPI,” “we,” “us”) provides on-site training and coaching for automotive dealerships, dealer groups, OEM field teams and lenders, at 375 Park Ave #2607, New York, NY 10152. This policy covers centerforperformanceimprovement.com (the “site”) and the calls, emails and texts that come from it. It explains what personal information we collect, how we use and share it, how long we keep it, and the choices you have. Our training programs themselves run under the written agreement each client signs.
3.Information we collect
Information you give us. When you send a training request, an Ask the Expert question, a general question or a request for program details, we collect what you enter: your name, work email address and, if you choose to add them, your phone number, dealership or organization, role, organization type and message, plus the program you asked about.
Two tools in our free Dealer Toolkit let you send your results to CPI if you choose to. The Training Check sends your score and every answer with your name, email, dealership, role and phone number (optional). The Service Drive Opportunity Calculator sends the numbers you entered and the estimate with your name, email, dealership and role. Nothing is sent unless you press the send button.
When you join our Inner Circle newsletter, we collect your email address. When you call, email or text us, we have whatever you share with us.
Information collected automatically. With each form, we note the page you sent it from and your browser's description of itself (its “user agent,” which tells us the browser and device type). We also store a scrambled code made from your IP address (a salted hash), not the address itself, to spot repeated spam. Our server holds your IP address in its memory for a few minutes to slow down repeated tries and does not save it. Like any website, our host keeps short technical logs of requests, including IP addresses.
We count how the Dealer Toolkit is used: which tool, and whether it was opened, finished, printed, shared or sent, with the page it was on. These counts contain no name, email address, IP address or cookie, so they cannot be tied to you. If you accept analytics cookies, Google Analytics also records how the site is used (see section 5).
Information that stays on your device. The Service Walk-Around Checklist saves your progress, including any advisor name or RO number you type, in your own browser so it is there when you come back. It is never sent to us. You can clear it with “Start a new walk-around” or by clearing your browser's site data.
Information we do not ask for. We do not ask for Social Security numbers, payment card or bank numbers, or health information through this site. Please do not send them through a form.
4.How we use it
- To answer your request, send the program information you asked for, and follow up about our training.
- To review Training Check or calculator results you choose to send, so a conversation with Ted Ings starts from where your team is today.
- To send the Inner Circle newsletter, if you joined it.
- To keep the site secure and stop spam and fraud.
- To understand how the site and the toolkit are used and make them better, including with Google Analytics if you accept analytics cookies.
- To keep business records, meet legal requirements and handle disputes.
A hidden field and a timing check automatically turn away submissions that look automated, and a short limit slows down repeated tries from the same connection. We do not use your information to make automated decisions about you, and we do not use it to train artificial intelligence.
7.Text messages and calls
Our forms have an optional box for text messages that appears once you type a phone number: “Text me about this request (optional). Center for Performance Improvement may text the number above about your request. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to stop or HELP for help. Agreeing is not a condition of purchase.” If you check it, we may text you about your request. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any text to stop receiving them, or HELP for help. Agreeing is not a condition of any purchase, and you can always reach us by email or through our contact form instead. We do not send marketing texts. We keep a record of your permission, including the words you agreed to and when, for at least four years.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Your permission to receive texts and your mobile number are not shared with any third parties.
If you give us a phone number without checking the box, we may call you about your request, but we will not text you.
9.How long we keep it
- Form requests and tool results you send are kept in the site's database until CPI deletes them; there is no set deletion date. You can ask us to delete yours at any time.
- The scrambled code made from your IP address and your browser's description, stored with a request, are kept with that request, with no set deletion date.
- Your IP address in our server's memory: a few minutes, never saved.
- The email alerts about your request stay in our team's mailboxes as business correspondence.
- Your text-message permission: with your request, for at least four years.
- Newsletter signups: while you are subscribed, then marked unsubscribed as described in section 8.
- Website logs: our host keeps short technical logs for security and troubleshooting, then deletes them.
- Analytics: cookies last up to 13 months, and Google Analytics keeps detailed event data for no more than 14 months.
- Your cookie choice: 12 months, then the site asks again.
10.How we protect it
The site uses encryption (HTTPS) for everything you send. Form requests and newsletter signups are stored in a database that only signed-in CPI staff and our developer can reach, and the companies we work with keep their own security programs. No website or email system can be completely secure, so please do not send sensitive financial or health information through a form. If a security breach ever affects your information, we will tell you as New York law requires.
11.Your choices and rights
- Ask to see the personal information we have about you, or get a copy of it.
- Ask us to correct information that is wrong.
- Ask us to delete your information, unless we need to keep it for a client agreement, a claim or the law.
- Stop texts any time by replying STOP, unsubscribe from the newsletter, and turn analytics cookies off with Your Privacy Choices.
Depending on where you live, state privacy laws may give you more rights, such as the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of your information, targeted advertising or profiling. We do not sell or share personal information or use it for targeted advertising or profiling, and we honor requests to see, correct or delete information from everyone, wherever they live.
To make a request, email ted@centerforperformanceimprovement.com with “Privacy” in the subject line, send a general question through our contact form, or write to us at Center for Performance Improvement LLC, 375 Park Ave #2607, New York, NY 10152. We may ask you to confirm a few details so we know the request is really from you, and someone you authorize may ask for you. We respond within 45 days, and if we cannot do what you ask, we will explain why and you can ask us to reconsider. We will never treat you differently for using these rights.
12.Children
This site is for business professionals and is not meant for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you think a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.
13.Other websites and visitors outside the U.S.
The site links to other websites, including the Fixed Ops Roundtable, Fixed Ops Genius, YouTube, LinkedIn and Facebook. We are not responsible for how those sites handle your information, so please read their privacy policies. We work with clients across North America, and information you send through this site is stored and handled in the United States.
14.Changes to this policy
We review this policy at least once a year and when our practices change. We will post any update here with a new date at the top, and for important changes we will also put a notice on the site before they take effect.
